چکیده

This study aimed to evaluate and compare the internal adaptation of bulk-fill resin-based composite restorative materials with flowable composites as lining using self-etch adhesive system. Class I cavities (2mmx4mm) were prepared on flattened occlusal surfaces fifty extracted human premolars randomly assigned into five groups (n=10) according used: Beautifil Bulk-fill Restorative (BR); Flowable (BF); Flow F10 (BF10); Self-etch (SEA). Group A: SEA+BR; B: SEA+BF10+BR; C: SEA+BF+BR; D: SEA+BF10+SEA+BR E: SEA+BF+SEA+BR. The samples thermocycled for 500 cycles, then sectioned mesiodistally, polished pre-treated prior scanning electron microscopy (SEM) evaluation. From SEM images, measurement cohesive failures was recorded at multiple sites pulpal floor in between materials. Data analysed one-way ANOVA post-hoc Tukey tests (p<0.05). Cohesive failure SEA observed lowest percentage A (5.14%), highest C E (>16%). However, there no significant difference among all groups. Adhesive seen SEA+BF/BF10/BR SEA+dentine gaps formed (6.62%) SEA+BR (5.30%). Nonetheless, differences p=0.89 p=0.70, respectively. With use BF/BF10 floor, reduced but resulted increased failure. both absent (BF/BF10 BR) regardless or without application SEA.

A laboratory evaluation of bulk-fill versus traditional multi-increment-fill resin-based composites.

Some concerns exist, however, regarding bulk-fill composites. One proposed rationale for limiting composite increments to 2 mm is to allow the curing light to penetrate to the resin farthest away from the light source.1,2 A second reason for using 2-mm increments is to minimize the shrinkage and shrinkageinduced stress associated with composite polymerization. Contraction stresses that exceed t...

Relation between conversion degree and cytotoxicity of a flowable bulk-fill and three conventional flowable resin-composites.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to evaluate if the cytotoxic effects of the Surefil SDR flow, bulk fill flowable composite resin and three conventional flowable materials (Venus Diamond Flow, Filtex Supreme XTE Flowable and Enamel plus HRi Flow) correlated with the conversion degree (DC); hardness and depth of cure are also assessed. MATERIALS AND METHODS Disks of each materials--cured usi...

Comparing the Microleakage of Bulk-Fill (flowable, packable) Composite Restorations and Conventional Light-cured Composites

Introduction and aim: Bulk Fill composites have increased polymerization depth and their contraction stress, and cuspal deflection are reduced in comparison with conventional composites. Therefore, it is claimed that their microleakage is reduced. The aim of this study was to compare microleakage of (flowable and packable) Bulk Fill and conventional resin composites. Materials and Methods: Thi...

Properties evaluation of silorane, low-shrinkage, non-flowable and flowable resin-based composites in dentistry

Purpose. This study tested the null hypothesis that different classes of direct restorative dental materials: silorane-based resin, low-shrinkage and conventional (non-flowable and flowable) resin-based composite (RBC) do not differ from each other with regard to polymerization shrinkage, depth of cure or microhardness. Methods. 140 RBC samples were fabricated and tested by one calibrated opera...

In-Vitro Evaluation of Microleakage of Class II Cavities Restored with Bulk-Fill Flowable Composite

Background and Aim: Composite placement poses many challenges, especially in the gingival floor with dentinal margins. Microleakage is one of the factors affecting the longevity of dental restorations. We aimed to compare the microleakage of cavities filled with bulk-fill composite at enamel and dentinal margins. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, a total of 102 sound human pre...
